Engage in 90-minute weekly sessions at St John Youth - Penguins, building confidence and teamwork for ages 5-12. Fees apply; contact youth@stjohn.org.nz to join

Come along and see St John Youth - Penguins in action at our Papakura Division sessions. This youth group is designed especially for children in school years 0-6, meeting weekly to learn a variety of skills including first aid, confidence, self-esteem, and teamwork. As part of St John's broader community services, which include emergency ambulance services, Caring Caller, Friends of the Emergency Department, Youth programmes, First Aid Training, and Medical Alarms, these sessions offer young participants a hands-on way to build essential life skills in a supportive environment.
Papakura Division sessions run for 90 minutes each week, providing structured yet fun activities that encourage growth and connection. Open to children aged 5-12, this programme draws inspiration from boys-brigade traditions, emphasising discipline, camaraderie, and practical learning. Fees apply, so contact St John directly for details on costs and any membership requirements. No prior experience is needed β just enthusiasm to join in. These weekly gatherings foster social bonds and community involvement, helping kids develop resilience while contributing to the wider Auckland area through St John's mission.
