Community Gathering Pātaka Ora

All About Pātaka Ora

Pātaka Ora offers a regular community kaupapa centred on life enhancement through manaakitanga, connection and wellbeing. This welcoming space at Araiteuru Marae brings together whānau, kaumātua, individuals and local organisations to share nutritious meals, locally grown produce, kōrero and practical support. 🌿

Sessions run for 90 minutes and remain completely free, relying on koha and volunteers. All are welcome whether attending for a meal, to volunteer, meet others or reconnect with whānau. The focus stays on strengthening whanaungatanga while ensuring access to healthy kai and a genuine sense of belonging.

  • Open to all community members of every age
  • Free entry with koha appreciated
  • 90-minute sessions for kai, education and support
  • Wheelchair access, accessible toilets and parking provided
  • Child friendly with refreshments supplied
  • Regular gatherings held on multiple days each month

Participants leave with both physical nourishment and stronger community ties.
