At Mangawhai Bridge Club, you'll find a warm and welcoming atmosphere perfect for enjoying the card game of bridge in a relaxed coastal setting. This small but rapidly-growing club in "Magical Mangawhai" invites casual visitors and new members alike to join our friendly sessions. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, our weekly bridge activities foster social connections and community spirit in this stunning Northland location, just 1½ hours north of Auckland.
Our Duplicate Bridge sessions run on Thursday evenings from 6:50 to 10:15pm, lasting about 3 hours. Arrive by 6:50pm—or earlier if possible to help with setup—and bring a partner, as one is required. The entry is a simple $3 table money per person for both members and visitors. For those looking to build skills without a partner, our Improvers Lessons take place on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00pm, also with a $3 table fee; please arrive by 12:45pm. Beginners can register for lessons starting from 23 April 2026, held on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 10:00pm, costing $60 for 10 lessons plus a lesson book.
These sessions are open to all ages and skill levels, providing a great way to meet others, sharpen your mind through strategic card play, and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded enthusiasts. Annual subscriptions are $45 per person, making it affordable to become a regular. Text Trish Gordon at 027 284 8696 for partners, phone Sue Belin at 021 242 5212 for lessons or Tuesday sessions, or email mangawhaibridge@gmail.com for other enquiries. Visitors are especially welcome for one evening or many—come along and experience the fun! 🃏
