Experience structured aikido practice for adults 13+. Weekly sessions focus on defensive techniques in a supportive setting.

Participants arrive ready to train in traditional aikido, focusing on defensive techniques and controlled movement. Each session involves partner practice, learning throws, pins and evasion methods in a calm, structured environment. The format suits those aged 13 and over, whether completely new or returning to the art. No prior fitness level is required, and the emphasis stays on safety and gradual skill development.
These adult general sessions run weekly on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday evenings. Visitors are welcome to attend alongside regular participants, making it straightforward to try the activity without membership upfront. Training follows the technical direction of experienced instructors, keeping the focus on precise, non-aggressive aikido.
The sessions take place at the Rangiora Aikido Dojo in central Rangiora. The space provides a dedicated training area with proper mats for safe practice. Participants typically find easy access from nearby streets, with parking available close by. The setting supports focused training while remaining convenient for people living or working in the Rangiora area.
