whats-on.co.nz (“the site”, “we”, “us”) is operated by The Community Limited as an event discovery directory for New Zealand. It forms part of a network of related platforms operated by The Community Limited (including thecommunity.co.nz, artists.org.nz, and nzclubs.co.nz). How personal information is managed and shared across that network is explained in our Privacy Policy. Contact details are on our Contact page.

By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date will change and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

Whats-On does not provide tools to create or edit event listings on this site. Events are submitted and managed via thecommunity.co.nz, and may then be displayed or promoted on whats-on.co.nz. Listing rules, approval, and organiser obligations for those submissions are governed by The Community’s terms on thecommunity.co.nz, in addition to these terms for visitors to Whats-On.

You may browse the directory for personal, non-commercial discovery of community events. You must not scrape, harvest data at scale, disrupt the site, or use the service for unlawful purposes. We may limit or block access where we reasonably believe these terms or the law are at risk.

Event and venue information may come from organisers, partners, or related Community platforms. We do not guarantee completeness or accuracy of third-party listings. Verify details (dates, prices, access) with the organiser before attending.

The site’s branding, layout, and original text belong to us or our licensors. Organisers retain rights in their own listings and media, subject to licences granted to The Community Limited to display and promote that material on Whats-On and related platforms in the network.

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties where allowed. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on listings.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
